Unexport unlocks almond and olive oil exportation to European costumers at ‘Fruit Logistica 2013’.

The most important fruit and vegetable trade fair in Europe hold in Berlin on 6-8 February was the scenery to introduce two novelties in the product catalog of this cooperative society from the Region of Murcia.

Unexport cooperative society has recently participated in the international fair trade ‘Fruit Logistica 2013’ hold in Berlin, the most important fruit and vegetable sector fair trade in Europe. Unexport introduced these two new products included in its exportation catalog since February: almond and olive oil.

‘Fruit Logistica’ fair trade is considered the most important professional fair trade worldwide in the fresh fruit and vegetable sector. 2,533 exhibitors and more than 56,000 visitors from 139 countries take part on this fair trade. In fact, this is a usual appointment for Unexport, who has attended it “since it was created in 1999”, stated Thomas Andersson, manager of Unexport cooperative society, “because together we represent the whole group in a single platform, offering our vast range of products, what is definitely an advantage for members of cooperative society”, he adds.

In addition to the introduction of these two new products, Unexport entered into negotiations with new clients, who became part of Unexport’s distribution channel, such as some supermarket chains from Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine and Belgium.

When members of the cooperative society attend fruit and vegetable international fair trades together under one single body, such as Unexport, they obtain no end of advantages related to client attraction. On the one hand, their position of leadership regarding to marketing their products is confirmed. On the other hand, “together we can opt to reach new countries that are not our usual clients, so we can try to supply their fruit and vegetable demand”, declares Andersson.

What is more, this union also “reinforces the quality, food safety and product range image that the Region of Murcia currently benefits from, and in particularly, the members of the cooperative society”, resolved Andersson.
