The Unexport almond campaign begins

 In Uncategorized

In the middle of August, the new almond season began in the Region of Murcia.

If there is one fact of great importance to highlight in this new season, it is the considerable reduction in the quantities available, around 30%. This reduction is due to the frosts suffered in the area during the months of March, April and May.

This meteorological situation has had a particular impact on the organic almond crop because, as it is a more sensitive tree, it has been more affected by the past frosts.

At Unexport, together with all our partners, we continue to work to fulfil our commitment to all our clients. Our objective is very clear: to continue supplying quality produce and to try to grow whenever possible.

On the other hand, the purpose of this season’s almonds is very varied. Unexport almonds are used in the industrial channel, as raw material to manufacture other products such as nougat, confectionery…, and we can also find them in supermarket bags and in bulk at points of sale.
